World Cup Drama

The World Cup. To many it may be a glorious game of good lookin men, beckham, ronaldino, sweat, excitement, and country unity!

but to me… i cant help but think of the world cup as a game where a bunch of pubescent  girls are running around.

I mean… there’s SO MUCH drama in a match.

it’s like… for instance the brazil vs. cotedevoire game. where the cotedevoire player ran into the brazilian player on his own. his face never got hit, but he instantly grabs his face and lays on the field(the brazilian player ended up getting a red card) . its like.. wtfreak. come on now. if youre going to pretend, at least get hit in the face.

And then you have those players who run and then jab the other player in the stomach with their elbow. or push people down… come on guys. we did that in like middle school when we stood in the lunch line.

Then some of those players get their legs tangled with another player, fall, and pretend like it’s the end of their high school social life as they roll around crying in the grass. Little kids run and fall just like they do and they just get back up and run.

ANd then of course you have all of that… SCREAMING. that “i didnt do it. its her fault. that ref hates me. my life’s not fair” rant. please— come on. save it for someone who cares.

And lastly, you have the fake “i love you”. The exchanging of shirts after a match, or the exchanging of handshakes… HAH. you know inside the losers are bitter and the winners dont care what the losers feel.

But maybe thats why the world cup is so popular. Because it’s not the goals that are exciting, or the thought of going to the next round. But its the drama that keeps its fans wild.
